Changuu/Prison Island

The wonderful of Prison Island other name known as Changuu, it almost nearly from the land to Changuu by taking 30 minutes to get there in local wooden power boat. This Prison to this Island was built since1893 like quarantine station of Zanzibar.

The beautiful of this Island is almost peace and quite. The Prison Island has many challenge and historical for refresh your mind to see giant land tortoise that were imported from syshelles in the late 19th century.

The  prison Island is common known since the Sultan gotten the spice gift with the giant tortoise from syshelles government hundred yeas ago.

Also it is fringed with the beautiful coral reef, idea for snorkeling. This tour is a great way to see different history with wild life.

This is half day trip with  a boat ride including snorkeling equipment and trance fee.
